Fence corner table.

This fence corner table was made from another old cedar fence. The fence was in pretty bad shape so I had to square the boards for the top. The boards used for the bottom were hand selected out of the stack to keep the grayed used look.

There is just something about tire rockers. Maybe its the ability to start with something that is found in a ditch (yes this tire was found in a ditch) and turn it into this........

Sorry a little blurry on this one. Framing out the tire. The only thing I would probably do differently is wait to paint the outside of the tire. You may be able to see why later.

Before sanding dry fit. The boxes were made out of plywood and it was scraps so any nicks were filled with wood filler. Then I sanded smooth for no splinters. Thanks to my little helper the seat was sized to fit.

Almost finished on these last two. Just need to touch up some paint. My wife wants me to redo the circles. She does not like the sponge application but would prefer them perfectly round. You can now see why I should have waited to paint the outside of the tire. The paint needed for the tire needs much more cure time then normal paint and I have to repair some spots at the bottom. Live and learn.

Why Reclaim and Recycle?

First and foremost I have a small wood shop in my garage that as of late is just collecting dust. And I do not mean sawdust. So my family has decided we would take old lumber to make furniture at extremely low cost. Enjoy the pics and project descriptions, any questions are welcome.
